Metropcs charges money for switching phone $15-$20

Well I got charged for $17 earlier today for switching phone at Metropcs store. I didn’t argue back, the staff at the Metropcs said that they can switch it for me but they do not guaranteed that it will work because it’s not a metropcs phone. It was an unlocked phone though.

The existing phone was Samsung J7 Prime. The new phone is TCL 10L unlocked according to Amazon. This line is not mine though by the way, it’s for one of the family member. There is no guaranteed that it will work 100%, but they still charge $17 non refundable anyways.

I tried to do the switch by calling Metropcs customer service but apparently there was a high security password put in place that I forgot, and I don’t even know if it was me whom enabled that high security password, therefore I have to go to the nearest store. So we got the high security password recovered and also had the phone switched, seems to be working.

Just watch out. “Metro PCS does not charge activation fee. If you are a current MetroPCS subscriber and are switching to a different phone they will charge you a $15 fee in store for an ESN change. You can avoid this charge by doing the ESN change yourself on their website.”

Calculate how much it cost to run grow light for growing hydroponic

This is a very helpful website letting you calculate how much money $ (usd) it cost to run certain electrical device like grow light. Just in input the wattage (watts) of the device use, in my case a 18watts LED light, then the time duration how long you run it for, in my case 8 hours, then how much your electrical company charge per watts, in my case PECO about 12 cent, comes out to be 2 pennies a day. So visit this site https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/electricity-calculator.html

Or just google search https://www.google.com/search?q=electricity%20cost%20calculator

Free money from coinbase “You’ve earned 0.0140 XTZ”

It’s cool that coinbase giving away some Cryptocurrency such as Tezos XTZ and doing the staking for us automatically, no computer to run anything like masternode or staking etc… it’s not much but enough for us to learn more about cryptos.

What is Tezos Cryptocurrency?
Tezos is a self-amending decentralized platform for building dApps. It’s similar to Ethereum in a way that both blockchains support dApps built using smart contracts. … The most notable one is the network’s on-chain governance, which allows holders of XTZ, Tezos’ native coin, to vote on the network’s future direction.

How to keep your facebook as private as possible without deleting or changing your posts one by one?

Well after many research I have come up with a method that I do not have to change each posts or pictures and videos privacy one by one. It’s pretty simple.

Go to your Facebook settings, Privacy, and change everything to “Me Only” if not then just Friends (not Friend of Friend). However this will still allow your friends to see your posts pictures videos … unless you change privacy of each posts videos pictures … one by one.

So what’s the trick? simple – go to the “Blocking” “When you add a friend to your Restricted list, they won’t see posts on Facebook that you share only to Friends. They may still see things you share to Public or on a mutual friend’s timeline, and posts they’re tagged in. Facebook doesn’t notify your friends when you add them to your Restricted list.” Then Edit the list to block everyone, if you have a large list of friends, I’m not sure if there’s a select all or still have to select one by one, I think you could select all using Control + A or something like that. That’s it.

Blocking all friends will prevent them from seeing any of your posts pictures videos etc … even if your Privacy settings is set to Friends or Friends of Friends or certain group, it does not matter, they will not see it. However if your posts pictures videos etc. are set to Public then everyone will see it even people with no facebook account, but they can only see it if they know the link to that specific posts pictures videos etc … otherwise no they cannot search or see it.

So now, your facebook is secured from they eye of everyone, unless you publicly share the posts pictures videos etc. to public. Your profile is not searchable from the web search engine, even if they know or see your name profile url address pop up but when they clicked on it they will simply get a “This page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”

This is helpful if you do not want to share anything to anyone on facebook anymore, without deleting your account or archiving it, or do a massive backup if you have a lot of videos. You can unblock unrestrict certain people from the list at anytime. Look like the Blocking adding to Restricted list doesn’t impact what you will see on other people’s posts you can still participate viewing other people posts pictures videos etc… even you had them blocked from viewing your own posts pictures videos etc …

WP Faster Cache wordpress plugin not creating cache folders files?

For me, the quick fix was to make sure I have the correct “Settings” WordPress Address URL and Site Address URL, make sure it’s correct, especially http vs https …

So what happened was I tried to use WP Faster Cache plugin, I followed the direction and activated the Cache (enabled) but after a few days I noticed there isn’t any cache files folders created in the “cache” directly. I checked my other blog (wordpress) and those are working fine.

I compare the Settings configuration in term of path directories then noticed the differences, http vs https. I am using Cloudflare at the moment for the https. However my blog Settings Address URL wasn’t https, so I updated it and now it is working correctly.

Being a safe investors is great going through a Bitcoin Cryptos price crashing

I consider myself as a safe investor. I started investing in Bitcoin back in early 2013. How I found out about Bitcoin was hard work and dedication sitting in front of the computer researching all day all night long to find opportunities that I can get involve with little to no money, or with what I currently have which are a bunch of computers.

I stumbled upon Folding@Home from a forum that I webhost for. I started Folding@home for a few months to a year, with 1 laptop then a desktop and eventually a few desktop with high end cpu. I took a vacation as usual with the family visiting Vietnam, and I a got a call from my work saying that my job is impacted, in other word I got laid off, let go, I lost my job basically. I was scare and kind of joyful at the same time, maybe this was the moment I was looking for new opportunities or career change. I was with the company for more than 15 years at the time, however they got me back within weeks and I work for another 5 years before I wrote resignation letter, total of 20 years working for a corporation.

Folding@home eventually got me interested in similar computing power opportunities for money as income, and it was mining Bitcoin. So I spent numerous hours days and nights researching and started mining with a laptop. I was skeptical at first, and came up with my own rule, I must not spent money on this stuff, spending time only. Well, at that time, time was the only thing I have, I have no money whatsoever, struggling to meet ends need. So with 1 laptop that I got for free and turned it into a Bitcoin mining machine, at that time I was able to mine 1 Bitcoin a week but it went down quick because the price of Bitcoin rise and many new Bitcoin miner came on board and thus causing the difficulty level of Bitcoin mining higher, in word takes longer to mine Bitcoin. I was solo mining, then eventually moved to pool mining.

One laptop, then 2 to 3 laptop and then desktop computers and eventually I made some money and use that money I made to invest in more hardware, in this case getting all the high end GPU video card I could with good deal like rebates and so on. Since I understood that the hardware I invested will need a return of investment within a certain period of time like 3 months or so, but what if I cannot? in that case I kept all the hardware original box and receipts so I can sell it back on eBay or somewhere to get some money back. It was a safe investment. At that time, my goal was to take advantage on all good deal GPU that are onsale, once I got the shipment I immediately assembled right away and get it up and running within an hour or less because time is of the essence.

Eventually mining with GPU is no longer profitable due to the rise in difficulty level and ASIC chips took over GPU mining, although mining with GPU for ASIC immune coins like Ethereum (ETH) still it just cost too much power not much profit. So I sold most if not all my GPU and get some money back.

Then I started to look for other opportunities online to earn more cryptocoins. I even tried some ponzi scheme or scam rather, also known as hyip (high yield investment program), I win some I loose some in the end it even out. I also tried crypto lending through poloniex and made some pretty good decent coins, however poloniex closed lending platform.

Playing it safe is my strategy now a day, including diversifying my portfolio. I now have some stocks, real estate, cryptos, vairable universal life insurance with cash value, and very little onhand cash in the bank. For sure I am not rich, I still have an old 2005 family van, which I fix service maintenance on my own. I don’t have expensive computers laptop or mobile phone device, since I believe in all I need is reliable devices and enough for a modest living. Any money that I earned more than I need I believe in sharing with others like the poor, but since I don’t have extra, just enough for my own enough to sustain me while I turn my hobbies into self employment job.

Today I’m doing work on the internet with my computers including creating websites contents and computer security. I also I have over 100 list of domains that one day I hope someday will have some value.

Fortress Will Buy Mt Gox Creditor Claims for $900 Per Bitcoin

Yes. Last time I heard, customers of Mt Gox whoever loss their money with Mt Gox will get compensated in fiat with a lock in fiat value during the time, which is around $700 $800 or maybe $900. So if this is true I don’t see why everyone cannot get compensated because if the left over Mt Gox Bitcoin balance have on hand at the moment, shouldn’t be any issue compensating customers because the value of BTC at the moment is over $12,000. So if you loss let say 10 BTC with Mt Gox, you will compensated with $9,000 instead of $120,000 or 0.75 BTC instead of 10 BTC. That’s sucks if the ruling was indeed in fiat.
