I quit working for Applied Materials Inc.back in early 2017 after working there for 20 years. I became semi-retired. I was 40 years old when I left. It was a good company to work with considering the benefit, but as the company reorg and move around (relocate) too much with new management people I don’t feel I can fit in much as the pressure pushing me to work long hours and also I had enough money to retire so I decided to call it quit.

I had about $350,000.00 worth of stocks and 401k at the time, which is not enough to retire nicely, but I had side business for a very long time now which can sustain me for a while. I was doing multiple things on the side, selling on the internet and provide services related to computers, basically 99% telecommute. I am blessed that I discovered Bitcoin in late 2011. Back in late 2011 Bitcoin price was about $2 and I was doing research about Bitcoin where I can use my powerful super computers to mine it. I can then exchange the Bitcoin to money, I still don’t get it, how can something be virtual and worth something like cash money?

End of 2011 beginning of 2012 I decided to switch my computer power to mine Bitcoin. Sadly I had to end Folding@Home, but I think I contribute a lot of work for Folding@Home. So in 2011 Bitcoin price was $2, and then in 2012 Bitcoin hit $10 and mid 2013 it hit $100, that is when I decided to keep my Bitcoin instead of donating it or give it out. read more

Back in early 2011 I got involved with Folding@Home. It was introduced to me from SBinh from vietnzb also know as vcdz where most Vietnamese communities shares Asian movies series drama like Napster but in this was newsgroup using software like newsleechers to upload/download.

Folding@home is a distributed computing project for disease research that simulates protein folding, computational drug design, and other types of molecular dynamics. The project uses the idle processing resources of thousands of personal computers owned by volunteers who have installed the software on their systems. read more

After I broke up with my second girl friend, I was living lonely for a great while enjoying life doing business travel for my company until I met my third girl friend Huyen Pham, she is my wife as of today and the mother of my 2 girls Dahlia and Nyla.

I met my second girl friend back in 1998 I believe, here name was Phuong Vo, she was living in San Jose, CA. We met when I stopped on the road to help out with a car accident. We broke up also a year later. She was also older than me. Although I had many girls that I hang out with, but there wasn’t really any intimate relationship, this girl I consider as my second girl friend.

Before this second job, I was working at Resound Corporation for a while then quit and work at another pharmaceutical company assembling hospital equipments for a short period of time then move on to my permanent job which I work for about 20 years and left.

The company was Applied Materials Inc. I work there since 1997 to 2017, that’s about 20 years then I left permanently and semi retired.

Back in late 1996, I met a girl, her name was Jenny Nguyen, she was living in Sunnyvale California at the time. I met her at the company where I work. She was my first actual girl friend, because although I had many previous girls that I go out with previously but there wasn’t any real intimate relationship. We broke up a year later. She was older than me.

After I graduated from High School, I landed on my first job at a company in Redwood City California, Resound Corporation, they make hearing aids. I was an assembly worker. Working and Schooling at the same time.

I didn’t do quite well in High School, but I think most of my classes are college prep class so I am still proud that I graduated. Many Vietnamese my peers, they took ESL (english second language) class and got A’s grade. However I think I learned more taken all advanced courses although I didn’t get A’s grade, maybe C’s and D’s.

I’m glad that I graduated from High School but I didn’t attend the High School graduation ceremony though, never attend any school dance either. read more
